About Us:

Who are we?

We are Valor Cane Corso's. We live in a rural area, in southern Lower Michigan. We have 12 hilly acres, where our dogs love to run. We have always been lovers of big dogs and have had many various large breeds throughout the years. We have been members of the ICCF since 1998, when we obtained our first Corso. Wendy has been an active member of the club holding various positions and assignments. She held the Treasury position for one year and is currently a member of the ICCF Working Cane Corso Committee (WC3) and is a Regional VP of the ICCF Club. Wendy also goes training every week where she trains our Corsos in Obedience and Personal Protection.

Our breeding program:

We are a small breeder and we have straightforward practices for our breeding program: our focus is on, temperament, health and type. All dogs utilized in our breeding program must have stable temperaments, a clean health history with passing hip scores and possess good overall type. We do not breed for the larger size; our goal is to breed a Cane Corso with athleticism and endurance. We do not specialize in colors nor will we sell a pup based solely on its color. We feel it is more important to match the temperament of the dog, with the client's life style. Our dogs live in the home with us and puppies are born and raised in our home as well.

Our Services:

Valor Cane Corsos will assist you with any challenges, questions or concerns you may have with the training, socialization and general health of your dog at any time. Even if you do not purchase a Cane Corso from us, we are open to providing support to anyone that needs help with his or her Corso.

Our Policy:

Our number one concern is for the health and welfare of our dogs. If at anytime, you cannot keep your Corso, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will either take the dog back, or help you to find a new owner. We never want our Valor Cane Corsos to end up in a shelter; nor do we want our clients to feel embarrassed, or afraid, to contact us any time if they cannot keep their dog. We do not support dog fighting of any kind; and we reserve the right not to sell to someone, if we know they live in an area known for dog fighting. Our contracts are available for review upon request. We strongly encourage all our clients to join the ICCF Club as the newsletter contains vital information on the Corso's health, training and breed/club information. We also encourage our clients to dual register their Corso with the ICCF Registry and the AKC's FSS registry.

Our Expectations of our Customers

We encourage our clients to take their Corso to puppy kindergarten and basic obedience classes and earn a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification at a minimum and ideally, place an ATTS (American Temperament Test Society) Temperament test on their Corso as well. This is a small investment that will help set precedence for the breed, and will enhance public perception as well. We also like to keep in touch with our customers to see how our Corso's develop. This will help us to enhance our breeding program and to provide better customer service!
